Looking for a way to get rid of thistle in a garden/mulch bed. Have tried several different things, (vinegar, round up, etc) but it keeps coming back thicker.
        Any suggestions?

bees like the flowers, some butterflies like the flowers.

but the thistles are just awful.

my old college buddy, when he was raising Charolais breeding bulls, always had a shovel with him to chop out thistles. this does not get the roots, but do it often enough, and it may work for you.

I believe the 2,4D/2,4,5-T mixes are supposed to do a passable job on the hand jabbers. yep, ortho (www.scotts.com) says it's just the thing.

restricted use pesticides paraquat, diurol, and an adjutant surfactant in broadcast spray application is a sure thing. if you have a farm and the license and eqipment to use it. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t...7U0ilzxrHA3S7KXiuCMA

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
