I need help to turn my backyard into a useable fun place to entertain and enjoy.
It has uneven ground, a small tool shed and an old chainlink fence ( no privacy)

first thing: how much ya got? if you've got a good base of weeds and mole tunnels, and $50 to spend for the year, you need a curtain so you can't see the back yard $100 of chemicals, $150 of grass seed, whatever watering costs, and about a month of nights and weekends will go a long way.

second thing, once you're there: what do you want out of the yard? if a party center, full dining and cooking, video cabana, etc. that's the cost of a car, professionally done. it's the cost of a decent used car if you spend all your summer doing it yourself. if you sneak up on it over several years, the patio this fall or next spring, that's a couple grand in pavers. built-in with grill and space for a dorm fridge, couple grand. on it goes. break it down into smaller steps, parcel them into projects, rank them in priority, get 'r' done as you can.

if you have ideas for water features, power here and there, etc. don't do anything permanent until the lines are run and capped, so you don't rip up all the good stuff you've done.
