Buckled miter joint in countertop
We installed the new countertop 1 day ago, so all glue is dry. Miter joint is buckled to the point that if you set a glass on it, it rocks. Anything we can do?

you use a set of hidden screw clamps to tie the countertop sections together? if so, they're too tight, loosen them.

use long levels to make sure the entire counter surface is properly levelled and none of the shims jumped out, then chip out the joint filler and redo it.

Your only option is to take it apart and re-do it. If you are lucky, the glue is not fully cured and will come apart. Then, you'll need to clean all the glue off and start over.

It can be tricky getting every bit of the seam perfect. Usually there are 3 or 4 clamps on the underside, I've found that if you build the countertop on top of some horses so that you can get to both sides and adjust the seam from one side as you work your way across.

It may also help to screw in some blocks across the seam from the bottom.
