I recently bought a beach house and the previous owner had redid the kitchen. I am ok with the quartz countertops but not too crazy with the rest. I will probably paint the backsplash tile but not sure what to do with the cabinet faces. Any 'out of the box' ideas? I thought about dressing them up with some molding but not sure how to hide the rounded edges.?? I was also thinking of painting them a darker color. ?? I just had the Chelsea plank flooring put in as they had Linoleum before.

Personally, I'd leave it as is. If the cabinets are real wood and in good condition painting would be a waste. I would not paint the tile backsplash.

I painted the cabinets in our last house as a short term "fix" until we remodeled the kitchen some years down the road. I never liked the painted results. Our cabinets were about 10 years old at the time and showing their age. We sold the house before we remodeled the kitchen. I'm not sure if the new owners have updated the kitchen, I suspect they have as that was 14 years ago and they've done a lot of work to the house from what I can tell driving by.

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
