I have a very small kitchen space and am trying to reclaim some of the counter space by wanting to build a slide drawer that will hold my countertop dishwasher under the counter but will pop up like a gurney and hold stationary to do the dishes. I want to be able to put it away when I'm done without lifting the nearly 50lb appliance. Anyone have any suggestions on what or how I can do this?

My suggestion would be to buy an under the counter dishwasher.

They do make something like your talking about that's really made to hold A Kitchen Aid mixer.
