We are wanting to do a kitchen remodel which means new flooring (laminate tiles), new countertops (hd laminate), and new cabinets. I am seriously thinking about building the cabinets. I am pretty sure that I can put down the flooring. I don't think I can do the countertop. I get from reading here that putting the flooring down first is the best idea, then I put the cabinets in but it's going to take a few more weeks after the cabinets are in to get the countertops done, isn't it? Time to order and all.... seems like a long time to be without my kitchen. I was originally thinking I could do the cabinets in sections and lay the floor down after they were in but I do get what everyone is saying, I just don't know how long I can go without a kitchen. Am I missing something? Any ideas?
        Thanks!
