On a resent episode of rehab addict. Nicole redid a kitchen and used a wood door and epoxy for the countertops. My question is any kind of epoxy and any kind of paint? does the paint need to be latex or oil base? I would love to do that on my kitchen island just need a little direction. Thanks

wild guesses abound here. since it didn't come in little tubes, and didn't come in 5-gallon tubs, it is probably the garden-variety encapsulation epoxy you would use for a spread-my-gravel shower base.

it would be more likely to lift a latex paint than an oil one, so test a small sample elsewhere, and make sure the paint you use is totally fully cured. not just dry, cured. that's several days to a week after applying.

here is a perfect place to stop and say, talk to a REAL paint products place, like a Sherwin, PPG, or Dulux store where they don't sell sheetrock and light bulbs. for our Loonie friends, eh, C-I-L should be the same thing.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
