Hello, we have an older house and when we bought it came with 2 sets of kitchen cabinets so they are mismatched. We are trying to find two cabinets to replace the mismatched ones. I attached the picture of the cabinets we need and they will be for the floor. Any idea where I could search for either just the doors or full cabinets? I would like to sell the house with matching cabinets. thanks for any info!

can get you about anything you want at VERY reasonable prices. Many of their doors are salvaged from new cabinets and are in perfect condition. They will deal with you over the internet but I have also been to the store several times as they are about an hour away for me.

There's hundreds of companys that sell just doors and drawer fronts on the net.
        Just Google it.
You could also check Craigs list under materials.
But trying to find an exact match, with the right swing, right handle position and spacing would be like finding a needle in a hay stack.

the simple answer is build 'em. the doors are standard rail and stile, inset 1/4 inch plywood, with the top and bottom rails cut upwards. have to take the back off the router table to cut the ogee along those rails, but strikingly similar to what I made 26 of for my kitchen, 2 for the homemade basement vanity, 5 for the laundry room, 2 for the upstairs bathroom, and one miscut door as the access panel for the Jacuzzi.

MLCS sells the rail and stile bits for either 1/4 or 1/2 routers online as a kit.

for the base cabinets, that's red oak plywood in 3/4, unless you have a good furniture yard in your area, I found the best stuff at Home Depot. there are plans on the Internet, but if you study what you have, and you can cut straight (even if it takes clamping a long level on the wood) you can do this.

make one or two from cheap crudwood first. nails and Titebond glue at the seams. to make it easier, you might consider all 90 degree cuts, and on the visible ends of the cabinets, glue on oak veneer for a seamless look. minor investment that gets rid of bothersome miter cuts that frankly are NOT going to match if you don't have really good cabinetmaker saws etc.

the face frames will be the hardest part... red oak, and get a Kreg Jr. hidden screw set, worth every penny of the $30.

will have to replace all the cabinet hardware, but you wanted to come out of the mid-50s here, right?
