I want to tear out the old stuff (cabinets, countertop, flooring and one wall divider) but my husband says 'leave it to the professional'. I am thinking save a little money and let the prof. just do the install. Will it make much difference in price?? I say "Yes", hubby say "No"

I'm going with the no -- it is surprising how fast a kitchen can be cut and torn out.

Have them bid it both ways. I tore out a room and patio and saved $2800 for about 5 hours work with two neighbors. Paid one $200 and we were both still very happy.
