Hi guys, I really need help building a bar for my soon to be man cave. Well all I really need is a blue print for something simple cause I'm not that handy but I have a friend or two that can help me with that cutting of wood and following the blue print. Well the area I have to work with is 6 foot by 3 foot 9 inches and 4 feet high. L shape but there's a support beam in the middle of all this madness that I'm not even thinking about moving. so within the 6 foot lenght the support beams is at 34 1/2 to 45 1/2, with a 4 inch width. My budget set for the bar is 2-$300, It would be great if you guys can help me with this project..

that's a jobsite build. not sure what you mean about a support beam. sketch or picture helps.

how much space do you need to turn around and move behind the bar? cut a piece of cardboard, put it on the floor. how much for shelves and cabinets and sink and stuff? again, make cardboard templates and put them against the wall, moving your "work area" template.

have a friend double-check that it isn't too tight to work.

what's left of the space is potential bar counter area. cut another piece of cardboard, and put this one at the working height (maybe a third-forearm below the elbows height above the floor.) measure up, subtract 3 inches for top and bottom 2x4 plates, another inch for a 3/4 plywood top and laminate or tile top. what's left is how high the 2x4 studs need to be cut. get measurements out and about, sketch it.

cut, nail, glue the top on, put something nice over the sides to hide the studs and resist kicking from your buddies on the stools, and that's the bar top.

install cabinets, shelves, etc. in back and party.
