        2003 ford focus Sign In/Join

        i have 2003 ford focus 2.0 check engine is on had it checked and it said misfirring on start up, and on 2& 3. i replaced the plugs and wires and the coil pack. any ideals

        some cars are extremely sensitive to the position in which the coil wires are placed. if the wires are laid wrong, you can induce a spark in the wrong cylinder. you now have the unfun task (been there, done that) of finding the exact factory layout of the plug wires, and don't worry about any floppy leftovers at the plug. son #3 and a pro mechanic were the latest I had to point this old farmers' tale out to, and it took a couple hours to get rid of the misfires.
