03 ford ranger air bag/cruise control - Topic Powered by eve community

cruise control buttons(on-off)are loose or broke behind airbag/ horn pad on the steering wheel. Do I have to do something to the airbag to disable it to take off that pad to get to the cruise buttons?

Usually disconnecting the battery is all that is needed to disable the airbag system.
Removal of airbag is usually two 8MM (5/16)
headed bolts in the back of the steeringwheel.
