Pulled up in driveway and turned car off, tried to start 10 mins later and it's dead.

All the accessories work, but motor won't turn.

Tried jumping battery, no help!

Any ideas??

Try tapping the starter motor with a hammer while someone cranks the key. If the starter starts to spin while you're tapping it, the starter motor is going bad and needs replacing. Be very careful of the accessory belts and fan while doing this. No need to hurt yourself. Depending on the location of the starter, you might need to use a socket extension or a piece of pipe to actually get to the starter motor. I don't know where they are on that car.

If that did'nt help,try cleaning off the battery post,may not making good contact to supply enough power to turn the motor,hope this helps.

Look for corrosion on the positive or negative battery cable and it is a very common problem with GM's terminal ends.Clean it with a wire brush or cheap soda pop,cola from your nearest grocery store.Cola dissolves it.

Wondering if it could be the neutral switch on the tranny?
