How to attach a glass tabletop to my elephant?
We brought home a wonderful wooden carved elephant from Bali and want to make it into a table with a piece of round glass. Does anybody have any ideas on how to adhere the glass that will not involve damaging our elephant? Maybe some type of sticky rubber on the elephant and clear silicone to the table? Any ideas are welcome!

Good luck with that one. There's no flat surface to even set it on. Glass table tops are never attached, there just set in place, most often with felt pads under them where the contact points are.

I think an oval (rather than round) piece of glass might be the best option, and not that much larger than the top profile of the elephant. You do not want it tippy.
This is a modern carving, so if the top would not be level, you may need to add silicone dots (attached to the glass to help level it or some other repairable way. (wood is very easy to fill holes in/color match, if needed) I would actually call a local glass company that would be willing to work with you. Carry the elephant in, and have them make the glass and prepare it for use. All it is going to cost is the cost of material and cutting the glass and grinding the edge.

I agree with the above message...try museum putty and work with a glass place to do this.
