I have a large mirror (67" x 36") that is mounted to the wall in my bathroom. It had a cheap plastic moulding around it, which I have since removed. I have seen wooden moulding around mirrors, and I am needing to know what type of moulding I would buy. The corners are simple, in that it was just the "rosette" type in each corner. Which means that it does not require the mitre cut for the corners...thank goodness I would appreciate any suggestions as to the type of moulding to buy. I would be painting the moulding
Look up picture frame moulding or panel moulding on the net. It will have the dado already milled in place. Any beaded molding sold in the box stores will work but there's not going to be a grove on the edge to cover up the outside of the mirror. Any wood working shop could make the dado in just a few min for you.
