Okay, DIYer's here's the dilemma... Recently converted attic space into a bedroom. Most of the walls are angled to the roof pitch with only one good wall for hanging art. On the angled walls the bottom portion is flat but only goes up about 4ft. Hanging pictures that low would seem silly. Any ideas how we can hang pictures from the angled portion? Without nailing the frames to the wall that is. Thanks! Monica
Check with a local framing shop, they may have some "Security hangers" in stock?
Nursing homes and hospitals here and some more public art displays, often use them in hallways. They have a little "key" that you use to slide and lock the hangers, in order to secure them to the walls. You would need them for top and bottom of the frame, on a sloped wall.
Having grown up in one of these bedrooms, I'm thinking it will look goofy to have pictures on those walls. What about some stencils or sayings or words on the walls? Or wallpaper?
go to the welding supply store, buy a bottle of helium and some ballons, fill ballons with helium, and attach to the pictures, they will float, where you want them to be.

I also am having this same problem, i have two room's with slanted walls. I like the idea of adding words to the walls, however i dont want to do the same thing in both rooms, also i have some art work that i made and bought especially for one of the room's i was thinking of using those plastic mirror hangers to attach the art to the slanted walls. What is your opinion about me doing this?? thanks in advance for any advice
The mirror clips will work but the art still will look strange in my opinion. The angle affects how it is viewed. I personally have never seen art displayed on the slanted walls. I would go with wallpaper or stripes or some other pattern rather than art. Monica
I thought I might have seen on one home improv. show they suspended picture wire w/eye hooks along a length of the slanted wall. Then clipped art their kids had done over it. I supposed I could do something like that. Thanks to everyone with ideas!
