I am considering painting my brass ceiling fixtures with antique brass paint in order to update them. Is this wise? Any suggestions?

why not find a local rebuilder to buff the fixtures down to the original brass, and then age them correctly?

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

If this is real brass, NO.
A product called BRASSO will work just fine. If this is a cleaning issue I would suggest replacing the fixture all together.
