I was looking to design my own columns for porch completion. My builder suggested that I search the Web (some more...) for pre-made and ready to assemble ones. These would be non-load bearing.

Not sure if this is allowed but does anyone have any experience with Pacific Columns? The quote for 4 tapered columns seemed seemed way low. These are made out of the equivalent of Azek (PVC) - 5/8" material.

There's hundreds of companys selling columns. I agree with the builder just go on line and do a key word search and find what your looking for. A real craftsman stryle column is a simple design and could be built on site.
