On a pier and beam foundation there is sometimes an enclosure, often made of a wire mesh with some sort of cement/mortar/stucco sort of material which keeps pests, etc, from getting under there and makes it look "neater". I know this sounds dumb but what is it called? So far I've thought of "dressing" "enclosure" "barrier" "facing", but I can't figure out from the internet what it's called. Mine has some cracks in it that I need to seal up and I'm not sure how to do it.
I feel like we're playing that game show password.... How about perimeter foundation vents? We use to do many P&B foundations and there would be vents around the perimeter and they had wire mesh that allowed air flow and keep the critters out. Can you take a photo and post it?

There are a lot of products on houses out there that never made it to the general market. A lot of them are pretty good but couldn't survive in the real business world.
