excluding the cost of land...I want a modern contemporary home with a basement big enough and tall enough to support a FULL GYM!

how much would this cost?

You are really just going to have to get some local estimates to get a number that has any accuracy to it. Way too many variables including design, size, lay of land, access and utilities and level of materials.

For a real guestimate number, $200 / SF should get you high quality, so if it's a 3,500 SF house you should be in the $700,000 range. But realistically due to the reasons above, that number could be off by several hundred thousand either way.

if you have to ask, it's more than you have.

if you don't have to ask, what you got is just about right.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
