I bought a house, and had a small leak in one of the bathroom ceilings. I got the flat roof resealed, and now have to deal with the mold. It is not much - mostly on the ceiling (a 2 foot section) where it leaked. Can you just clean and paint - or do I need to tear out the walls and ceiling?

It depends on how bad the drywall material is. If it's bowed or soft, then you may as well cut out the bad and replace. If the drywall is still solid, then kill the mold, use a barrier paint like BIN and repaint the ceiling.
