Is it possible to fix a cracked shower base? Our base is Only a few years old.
Yes and no. It can be repaired, but the repair (usually fiberglass cloth and resin) must be made on the underside of the base. Unless you have access to underneath the shower base (highly unusual) then you will have to remove the base to make the repair. Any repair to the top will either quickly crack or look really ugly.
Then the issue is will it be worth it to repair? Unless the base is an unusual size or shape, once you remove it then it makes much more sense to just replace it with a new one.
Hey Guys well i think that repairing cracks in a shower base is not much costly or difficult task.It is best to fix cracks as soon as you see them rather then waiting and enabling them to get larger. Thanks!!
