mparmy98Caulking Around Bathtub
I used Loctite Polyseamseal Tub & Tile Ultra Sealant (White Acrylic Latex with a Silicone additive) purchased at Lowes to caulk around the outside base our bathtub; we have a ceramic tile bathroom floor. I put it down Saturday morning and today it is firm but still tacky (rubbery). It wasn't old, but it did rain outside all that day so the humidity was high. Two Questions: Did I use the right caulk for the job (can it be used for inside the tub AND the outside base)? How long does it usually take to harden under the conditions mentioned?
Thanks for your help.

JaybeeYou used the right stuff. As to it not curing completely - could be that you got a bad lot (rare but it happens) or it could be too thick a bead of caulk. It does air dry, not cure so I'd give it a couple of days extra before pulling it out and starting over again. Maybe add a small fan to circulate air to help drying.
If it remains tacky, then you'll have to replace it as it will just attract all kinds of dirt and look horrible.

beers1i hope you filled the tub up with water and steped into it before you calked so it will not strech and split later when you take a nice warm soak.
