Master bathroom: subtract a closet to add a tub?? Sign In/Join
        posted
We will soon be renovating our master bathroom. Our house was built in 1983, and the master suite has 1 walk-in closet, 1 2-foot deep x 8-ft long closet, his & hers sinks, toilet, and a small shower. The tile is cracking and I just want to demo it all and start from scratch.

My question: would it be better to keep the 2 closets, maybe make the 2nd one a little deeper, and add a bigger updated shower or combo shower/tub. OR, should we just have 1 walk-in closet (probably make it a little bigger, add a tub, and separate updated shower?

        I'm leaning toward option #2.

Why don't you post a floor plan. It is hard to visualize what you are talking about.

It's up to you to decide what is more important for you: to have a better shower/tub or 2 separate closets. I personally would go for bigger and better shower/tub as having just one closet would not hurt you much while a nice bath could be you little piece of heaven Smile
