We were watching DIY on Sunday and saw where Matt installed a pebble shower floor with epoxy. We are wanting to locate the instructions on how to do this. This show installed black lava tiles in the shower walls and a solid granite counter where the sink stair stepped down. Can anyone help with how to do the shower floor?

Please, please, keep in mind a lot of the things they show on those DIY shows look cool but in real life are a pain to deal with from then on.
Keep in mind the rougher the surface in a shower the more likly it is to leak, far harder to keep mold from growing, near impossable to clean, a nightmare to grout.
If you look at some of the older post on this site and other DIY sites you will see where people are asking how to reglue the stones that come loose in epoxy.
Repost and ask people that have done this how it really feels on there feet.

As posted above, that stuff can look really nice when first applied...then the repair expense begins as well as cleaning issues and reapplication of epoxy on a regular basis. Wow, what a nightmare in a shower.

there are sheet mosaics with pebbles. like any good tile floor installation, I would (if I wanted that crankiness under foot) make sure I had a proper pan (multilayer mud pan with a correctly installed liner to the drain, or a Kerdi pan kit with liner and wall waterproof sheet), tape over the drain with blue tape, lay down white thinset keeping the correct angle to the wall and drain, install the pebble mosaic tile, come back in 24 hours and grout.

none of this "look, ma, I have air bubbles because I mixed too fast!" stuff.
