With poor use of space and an unfortunate lack of ambience, this bathroom was not an inviting or functional place.

“The brief was to create an ambient, luxurious space — a resort/hotel spa-like sanctuary, hence the choice of the Apaiser Haven stone bath and matching Sanctum basins. The bathroom renovation was part of an entire home renovation, where the simple brief called for elegance and simplicity with a touch of glamour,”explains designer Teresa Kleeman.

One of the problems with the old layout was that the master bedroom and ensuite space were under-utilised. There were almost wall-to-wall cupboards on the bedroom side, which ate up space from the master ensuite and walk-in robe, so the walls were removed to open up a vast space.

“The stone bath is made from reclaimed marble composite and is the absolute feature of the bathroom,” says Kleeman. “We also built a recess niche that runs the length of the entire back wall and is highlighted by hidden aesthetic LED down lights that illuminate the gold foil feature. The floor tiles are taken up the back of the wall, providing a rich contrast and highlighting the feature bath. Recessed mirrored cabinets sit above the twin Apaiser stone Sanctum basins, reflecting their gorgeous organic shape.”

Ceiling lighting has been replaced with LED downlights, and ceiling speakers connected to the SONOS home sound system are all flush with the ceiling. A gold foil feature tile is echoed in a further recessed niche within the large shower, which is surrounded by frameless starphire glass.

The so-called bathroom looks like something from Jurassic Park III, complete with giant spider webs and the shell of a giant extinct species.

And by the way, Apaiser, learn how to use spell check.

Maybe "Apaiser" should try to sell it to a producer of horror films instead of spamming here. Maybe a sequel to Arachnaphobia would be appropriate.

I can't imagine ANYONE finding that atrocity attractive and actually paying money to have bathroom redone in that fashion, if it really is a bathroom and not just a Photoshop creation.

Or is this spider lair the bathroom before the so-called designer upgrade?

looks like Queen Kong's bra and tarantula webs all over the place. probably has hot and cold running bugs coming out the tap into that tub.

a perfect example of taking a couple of designer pieces, and tossing them down the basement steps to crash into the old coal room. toss a few firecrackers into a gallon bucket of paint, and you're done! accent with a few broken whiskey bottles and some socks thrown over the lights.

next time, watch Bath Crashers!, put a glass tile wall behind that tub in a sea or water color, get some hanging vanities with matching vessel sinks, and for pete's sake, clean up the trashpile before taking the picture. that scene described is nowhere near what you shot.

here in America, all the professionals advise that you get rid of the goldang clutter, compose the shot to surround your shiny with elements that accentuate it. this looks like a trash house with the insulation hanging down.

I used to do photography and studio staging, and I never took pictures of the dumpster after I was done and posted them as my best work.

It is very difficult to give small bathroom a look of luxurious bathroom. You need to do everything perfectly. The vanities should be small, yet spacious and full of modern design. Every place should be used in such a way that it won't make you feel clumsy. Also proper arrangement of electrical switches is needed.

Gee, who would'a thought?! I had planned to redo my bathroom and put all the electrical switches in the shower so I could control them while showering.

Might not be a bad idea for Apaiser's spider bathroom though. Could add some kind of electrical tazer or shocker for when mother spider comes home to check on the giant egg. Or did we decide that's a reptilian egg from the Jurassic Era?

And yet there are already 3 on this post alone. Must be something about bathrooms that attracts spammers. And it looks like one might even have changed its moniker and reposted under a different name. Guess they just don't get the message. Too bad they can't shape up and earn a decent living.
