Shower Pan Tiling
I have a per-fab shower pan with a tile ledge. I am tilting the walls.
Do I need a grout line between the bottom tile and the shower pan tile ledge?
Or can I rest the tile right on the ledge with no grout?I have a per-fab shower pan with a tile ledge. Neither one -- leave a little space, like 1/8 inch between the tile and pan, and use caulk. Grout will end up with cracks because the tile and the pan will expand and contract differently. You can get caulk that matches the color of the grout in most cases -- or use 100% silicone caulk that matches the pan or grout.
