toilet flushes multiple times
I'm having a question about a church toilet in a handicap stall.

When you flush this toilet, it flushes rapidly about 4 times in a row. There is not a big delay between flushes. When I asked the maintenance department to fix it, they responded that it is "designed to do that". This, of course, is the same group that used a safety pin to fix another toilet.

Is this the truth? Are there toilets designed to flush four times in a row? Or is this a load of... well, you know what?

Is it one of the sensor activated toilets?

i know its a church....parden the brassness
HEck no it dont flush 4 times by its lonesome!!
as was asked,,,is it automatic?
lens is dirty, or, some models..needs a battery
if tank type...replace the ballcock...that ones had it
if flush valve...rebuild it, or take it apart on clean it..maybe trash[sand]

It is not automatic - it has a flush handle. It just flushes in rapid repetition with one push of the handle.

it cant...when you push the handle
the flapper opens via a chain
and all the water goes into the bowl
oh.....brahahahaha...the chain needs to be adjusted
you said it flushed,,to me.that means it completly flushes...but, if the chain to long,,it could stutter
does it TRY to flush, then quit then try
replace flapper, adjust chain
