I'm planning on using 6x24 grey plank porcelain tile for my bathroom walls as wainscotting (up 4ft). Wondering what pattern/style would look best, horizontal brick pattern or random length similiar to wood flooring. Also have option of doing it vertical, but think horizontal would be best. The shower and floor are done in 12x12 tile in brick pattern.

We used the same 6x24 porcelain planks, in a cinnamon timber, in our shower and ran them horizontally 3' up the wall in a random pattern giving it a real wood look. Looks great.

Thanks! I did the shower in a grey/brown marbel and the floor has a slate look; both with a brick pattern. The wall tile has the wood grain but is the grey shate color. Just couldn't decide if a brick or random board pattern would look best. I'm leaning more toward random board pattern all the time
