Need help designing
Hi there! We are trying to remodel our master bath/closet area and make the most of it. We have a square room that is free game; walls can be placed anywhere, etc. but we are keeping the tub in the same spot.

Do yourself a favor and make that short wall next to the tub stick out about 6" behind the tub. It's a whole lot easier to finish that way.
What room is beyond the wall where your thinking of putting that closet?
Reason I'm asking is if that's the bedroom why would you not want a door facing the bedroom so someone would not have to walk all the way into the bathroom to get in to the closet?
If that's the case I would add a linin closet built into that big closet with a louvered door facing that vanity.
Not a big fan of pocket doors.
They cost far more, are a pain to install, can be a mantaince issue when they come off the track, lessens the available space on a wall where there should be an outlet.
Another option may be an out opening door.
There's no mention of where you live in your profile, if your in a cold area of the country it's never a good idea to run plumbing in outside walls.

it looks like you only left 24" for your potty...needs to be min.30"
36" is better

and 2'6" for passage between closet and tub wall
