The last tink I'd like to see is a rough surface shower panel. A night mare to clean and you can plan on mold setting in on that one.

Well these aren't rough stone, its a thin piece of stone glued to a fiberglass panel, and you put sealant on it so mold doesn't get on it, and if it does, it is easy to clean. I just need to know where I can get it.

Im sure those panels are custom made for the show. I would be interested in seeing where to get them and for how much.

Have you had any luck finding them?

There are many types of cultured marble, quartz and other stone products available in sheets. Any outlet that supplies materials for countertops can fabricate the sheets. I'd start looking at stone countertop manufacturers. You will not find this at any home store unless they do a special order.

The stone sheets are usually 3/8" to 1/2" thick and make a fantastic shower surround. The only seams are in the corners and once cut correctly, the panels are fairly easy to install. The stone surface is just like a stone countertop - perfectly smooth so it cleans easily. All in all it makes for as close to perfect a shower surround as possible.

BUT.....You'll pay for it. Plan on spending somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000 for an average size shower surround. That's materials, install is more.

There are many online company that provide STONE VENEER SHOWER PANELS but First be sure to purchase from a reputed company that offers a material warranty on the product and ask to see a specification product sheet for the entire details of the materials and chemicals used in the manufacturing process. These stones are very durable and versatile but some companies that may misrepresent the product .

hmmm, 4 spammers in a row. some kind of record.

you have dissimilar materials in a stone veneer over fiberglass. heat and movement makes it likely to break one or the other.

why not just have any stone fabricator in your area (yellow pages: countertops) put up quartz-based slab product?

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

$7 per foot. Comes in 2x4 foot sheets.
I think it is a huge shame that these shows do not provide an easy way of finding the products they use.
Just for the record, to those who knocked this product... I have no affiliation to it...
Use thin hardibacker or cement board, then use orange membrane like mike holmes uses, then use adhesive sealant to glue tiles w/no spaces in between. Seal the outer surface when done.
