I am planning to remodel my master bath. I have the tiles I need for my floor and shower wall but I am in the hunt for a shower pan (I do not want a tile floor). I found a few shower pans on websites but not sure of quality or brand. Therefore as a novice I could use some guidance on a good brand/product to purchase. It doesn't have to be high end but definitely not low grade either. I don't want the basic white I am looking for almond, bisque along those lines. Is it okay to make this purcahse online or in store better?

You can buy on-line. Just check the specs page before you order as it will give complete sizing descriptions. Get a fiberglass pan instead of plastic. Some advice from a pro: Bathroom remodels are the hardest to do as you have a small space to fit everything, plumbing and protection from water. If you are a complete novice at remodeling, consider either finding a friend with experience to help, hiring out a part of this or starting with a smaller project before tackling the bath. Thank you Jaybee, I have already been advised to hire a pro to lay my shower pan I just want to make sure I have all the right materials before contacting a professional. Is there a particular brand of fiberglass pan that I should go with?

I haven't found any 'bad' pans other than the above advice to go with fiberglass over plastic. There are also cultured marble pans that are nice. The big thing is to find one that is in the size that you want. Jaybee
