What happened to Ahmed.How come Matt Bladshaw is now the host and is there a new host for Turf Wars as well?

A TV show host is a job like any other. People quit. People get fired. It happens.

I do not like the new host, you need to bring Ahmed back. The new host is boring and not as fun as Ahmed.

I am highly unsatisfied with the new host of turf wars and guarantee I will not watch yard crashes without Ahmed. Seriously DIY?! You really messed up here

the older shows with Ahmed are still in rotation, occasionally in prime time, more often not. use your guide or schedule button and look around.

I totally understand. I want to buy diesel fuel at 30 cents a gallon like it used to be. And I want it now.

WOW I taped yardcrashers all summer.I guess they were reruns. Today I sat down and caught a "current"episode. SHOCKED that Ahmed was not there. So disappointed with this change. I've slowly found myself watching less and less DIY and HGTV these past few years. The programming has really veered away from the DIY type shows that got me watching in the first place. At least Ahmed was both fun and good looking. Now I don't think there's anything left on these stations. I guess the middle-aged female 150k+ demographic is not what HGTV/DIY wants to keep watching their network anymore.....I am hopeful that Ahmed will be back on TV, maybe another network.

tape 'em if you want 'em, eventually shows rotate off the air for new stuff. ask "Ed The Plumber" and "Weekend Mechanic."

I expect there is market research and poking at the ratings with a sharp stick to determine the future direction of the programming here and elsewhere. hint from an old broadcast hand... letters work, too. ask "Star Trek," which got cancelled twice and brought back seemingly without a pause on the basis of screams from the public.

...will believe when it happen....

There is a better chance of seeing new episodes of "Star Trek" with the original cast (including all the dead ones) then seeing Ahmed back on DIY.

roll out the Genesis probe...

and again, if you want to keep seeing those shows, tape or DVD 'em quick.

I start to notice that shame I really liked him. The new guy is not that bad.But like you told me before it takes a miracle to be in the show. I'll do it myself someday... First I have to remove all pine trees from my yard, any advice how to do it without killing myself?..lol

There is a time to DIY, There is a time to hire a pro and then there are times when it's best to find a few hunky high-school students who want to make a little money.

Tip #1 from an ol' boy scout... when cutting down trees, drop them downhill and away from the house.

Tip #2: the last cut that allows the tree to start falling is the time to get the bloody garn ell away from the tree at right angles to where you think it's going. lots of trees "kick over" the base and fall backwards about a quarter to a third of their height. drop the saw and G-I-T.

Tip #3: if you're dropping a chunk of tree on a paved surface, the paved surface will break.

a decent tree weighs a couple cars' worth. are you sure you are going to be able to maintain control? if not, if you have no husky friends and no husky ropes and no husky skills, my money is on the tree winning.

// edit// son #3 and some friends dropped a big 'ol tree on the 3300 volt feeder wire out in the country once. this gets expensive quickly. I suspect there were spiritous liquids involved. make sure you have your work area scoped out.

Tip #4 (actually more like a karmic rule) - If a tree is leaning downhill and is overloaded with limbs on the downhill side and your house is located uphill from the tree......right at the point where the tree is cut enough to fall a strong uphill wind will develop. You can guess the rest.

Cutting trees near anything that cannot move and is valuable is one of those things that is ALWAYS left to the experts.

had an inept neighbor to the folks' house about 40 years ago decide one day he was going to cut down all the trees in the back yard. the house looked like a Swiss chalet in the Alps, and he wanted a wasteland.

so leaned a cheap ladder into the tree next to the house and started buzzing away with a borrowed chain saw.. shorts, T-shirt, and I am sure that his helper was Jim Beam.

anyway, third big old branch cut without any sort of planning or guying fell down on him, broke his arm in two places, and knocked him off the ladder, which fell through the kitchen window.

that was one of his biggest successes praise the gods that when the basement started falling in, he called pros to hoist the house and rebuild it.

tip #5: no, you CAN'T wing it as you go. at least look at the job once before digging in.

guess that project is out......lol any way there is about 50 of them..so I guess they stay... I was hoping to build a shed and a small cabin for my grandson to play, that is out of the question... I should have become a carpenter...lol

A little tooo old for the hunky guy...my son say maybe we can burn it down.....and there goes my little cottage...lol

you don't need to take 50 trees out... they're good for climbing and stuff. just fine one or two that are spindly and full of dead needles, and take them down in sections. rent a stump grinder, walk it in there, gnaw the stumps up... and now you can build a small playhouse.
