I am in need for a new router.I mainly need it for small woodworking projects and to trim my new counter top(laminate). Is it worth buying a combo or just a fixed base.

A good one is the porter cable router that can separate the motor from the baseThis message has been edited. Last edited by: nona,
May want to check out this site. They had had some good prices.
Not a thing in the world wrong with the Porta Cable, I just happen to own one of these for my trim router and it works great.
Thanks Joe, I got the Bosch trim router and love it.
