        I recently played a game of shuffleboard, and I was surprised as to how I've never heard about it before. It a lot of fun, but it seems to be only in bars. I looked up how much a board would cost, but these are not cheap, some sites (like this one) sell them for thousands of dollars. However, while buying my own table would be way out of my price range, I wondered whether I could save a lot of money by making my own table. Does anyone know of any tutorials or guides on how to get started? Much thanks in advance!

        I googled " how to make a tabletop shuffle board " and found several sites including some for a full sized one. They say a full sized one will take up 52 ft of space, that's kind of big unless you have a large basement. Anyhow, google it and see what you can come up with

        An option would be a corn hole game instead.
        That's up far less space, can be played inside or out. sort of works the same as shuffle board but is played with bean bags.
        It's a big fad around here.
        Google it.

        Building one would be difficult to do properly. It is critical that the surface is true and flat without any flaws, almost impossible to do unless you have access to an industrial planer. Try to find a used table. Should be able to pick it up for pennies on the dollar.

        Concider buying a maple butcher block counter top.
        The top would be the hardest part to make, so one of these would take care of the problum.
