I have ordered a loft bed of my son and would like to build some stairs for it. Does anyone know if there are plans on the net? Should I just hire someone?
Honestly, before anyone can really help you you need to provide a little more information. A picture would be nice to see what you are dealing with. Stairs is a very general term that can cover a lot of bases.
MelissaF - we are also ordering a low loft and need stairs, not a ladder. She still wants the dog to be able to reach her bed. I have searched for plans too, but no luck. I've printed out photos from other manufacturers,(Berg)of stairs with built in drawers, we may have to build our own. I'm interested in plans too. bchuck
Stairs take up a lot more space than a ladder. You need to consider the rise and run as well as the width of the tread, height of the bed, size of the room, etc.
