I have been searching on line but i don't like the ones I have seen. I want to actually be able to sit on it as well as store some stuff in it. I want it to be about 4 foot long.

If you have the ability to build the bench, then look for one that is similar-but-not-quite-right for what you want. Dimensions are easy enough to change to fit what you need.

Wood Magazine's projects are generally for experienced woodworkers. Some of the plans can be daunting.

Better Homes and Gardens has plans as well, and often less complicated than the Wood Magazine projects:

You might also try searching under outdoor benches, storage, or outdoor storage benches...something like that.

Alternatively, find a plan for an indoor bench that you like, then adapt it for outdoor use by changing the type of wood, fasteners, etc.

Deacon's benches are popular stoarge benches; you might try searching under those terms.
