i just purchased a kreg router table and have to mount the base of my craftsman 2 hp router to the insert. well, needless to say i wrestled with to get the "body" free from the base. router hasn't been used in a couple of years. is there a lubricant that could be used before putting back together ie: white lithium spray grease or graphite powder?

any grease or or graphite can transfer to the workpiece. Instead, try an unmedicated talcum powder. If any get on the work , it's easy to remove
