I need someone advice on what grit sandpaper to use in order to prepare a new aftermarket plastic bumper. I have the paint and the gun and the desire. Just not the grit number. Thanks in advance

Can someone tell me where in the world I can find a human heart to do a transplant, I have a scalpel and a bunch of doctor stuff and the desire so all I need to do is find a heart.

What you are asking is the same as someone trying to do any skilled endeavor without knowledge. Having tools doesn't make you a doctor and having a can of paint doesn't make you a painter.

But at least if you muck up a paint job no one dies.

A skilled painter would start out with a coarse grit wet paper than work their way to a smooth grit, probably ending in 1600 grit wet paper,

Do you know how to wet sand, and how to use a block?

Do you know how to mix the paint with blending solvent or reducer, I am sure that you know that it varies according to the humidity in your spray booth, and you know the proper formula. You do have a dust controlled, humidity controlled spray booth don't you?

How about that compressor, I hope you have something that can put out a lot of air with a moisture remover in line, 220 volt 10 horsepower compressor is normal but you can get by with a 5 horsepower if you are doing a small jobs.

If you don’t know these thing go to a trade school or night school adult education to learn because there is a lot more that I left out.
