Hi, I'm a new guy here and I'm looking for information on how to take shock corded tent poles apart. I'm providing a link to a web hosted photo, because it excedes the allowed file size, this is the shock cord anchor ( correct name? ) that fits inside of the steel tube section. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v728/deast-lr/08%20Mu...current=DSCN0891.jpg And if I can't take my poles apart, can you give me a link to where I can get the parts to make a new pole set?
skin that one out, I'll get ya another

far's i know, they're not meant to come apart into the individual sections,,, shock cording keeps you from losing a piece,,, got anything tougher ??? think a 5th grader could've figger'd this 1 out.
What do ya mean, got anthing tougher, you didn't even come close to an awnser "not meant to come apart" To that, I say horsefeathers! if it was put together, it'll come apart! Thought that this was a DIY board. And they DO come apart, just had to make a tool for the job.
Well shock corded poles are done for ease of assembly and so you do not loose peices. They are not MEANT to come apart. Heck anything can be taken apart. I guess the question is why would you need/want to. My toaster comes appart, but when I am done, it will probably never make toast again. The fact that you had to "make a tool" to take them apart should say something. If they were meant to come apart, they would probably sell the tools to do so.
You won't know if you can do something if you don't try.
