have not done this sence the 70's but we used to cut a peice of plywood about 5 ft tall. and 30 inch wide, in the shape of a tombstone. install 2 eyebolts on the round side 1 up and 1 down.attach a ski handle to one bolt and 3 strands of bungie rope 100 ft long put a 50 gallon drum on the river edge, full of rocks.put the bungie on the barrel and climb on the rig. stand up and lean side to side and back you can put the glue on sand paper on for grip for your feet. ITS A BLAST

I had to read it a couple of times, but I've got the picture. Sounds like it was a lot of fun! What was that thing called? White ware sking??? You know what we use to do when I was a teenager (& early 20's) in North Carolina. We use to get a big inter-tube, tie a rope on it, hitch the other end to my frind Bart's VW Beetle & take it out on the road when it snowed (before the scrapers came). I don't know how we did it, but 6 of us would pile into the VW, hold on to the inter-tube on top (it was too big for the trunk) & go out in the country on roads that weren't traveled much. I'll never forget, once we had Wayne & was going down the road. We had the windows down (talk about freezing cold!!!). Someone heard him yell out "Whatever you do, don't go out on 311!" (311 was a highway they were building at the time...it was not opened yet). He should have know better, Bart went around the road block out onto 311! Wayne screaming & yelling the whole time! LOL! Oh me! How we never got hurt (not very badly anyways) or pulled over by a cop for reckless behaviour or drinking (plus other stuff) I'll never know. We were nuts! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. (As always) have a groovy night!
