Hi to all,
I am going to replace my 12 year old gas grill, can't get the parts to fix it. I would like some input from others on what they like to use the best, gas or charcoal/wood smoker?
I mainly use the grill all summer long and only a few times in the winter. I cook for 4 to 6 people and sometimes 10 to 12 when I throw parties.

Another question is do they make a gas grill with cooking racks that can be moved up and down with a crank like some of the charcoal grills I have seen?

woodlore..the question whether gas or charcoal
has been the topic of many a heated discussion
charcoal in my opinion, is the best for taste
you can't beat it.but if you just got home from work, and you just want to slap a couple of steaks on, and be done with it, then gas is for you. i have 2 grills, 1 is gas and the other is a brinkman smoker. now in my humble opinion
is what you need,it can be used as a grill or a smoker. it looks like R2D2 it is called a dome smoker.i put a 5 lb chicken on it for 6 hours
and the taste. is incredable .i am in the process of making a refrigerater smoker.
i hope i have helped and not muddied the water
as far as adjustment, you can get anything
go to www.brinkman.com and check out what they have

woodlore..your old gas grill...at wallmart, in the garden section. you can get. new burner, hoses, regulaters, the hole thing
if they don't have a new part. just replace the guts. and you will have a new grill.

Well for me, I only use Lump Charcoal, It cost a lil more but Nothing taste better As far as my taste buds go . An well the Neibours line up when they smell the grill going,,, An I just love smoked Turkey.. I live in Florida an grill year round,,, Makes it a tad nicer when there is a lil chill in the air however... An with this being the end of summer if you prefer to use GAS-- I have seen many units on sale for under a $100.00 dollars,, An you can allways put it on layway !!!!! I have a Large Royal Oak grill ( charcoal ) that I can put several racks of ribs on, probaly on like 10 whole chickens ??, An also I have a Brinkman smoker that I made several adjustments to it so it will cook better..... Good Luck an Happy Grilling ,,,,,,,,,,,,JIM
