It's actually "yarn" with bits of ribbon in it. It's sold in the yarn dept. of JoAnn's etc. I've used it in knitting some scarves. Have never seen it made into that type of nacklace tho.

The picture is not exactly like the necklace purchased. But every time I've googled for ribbon necklace I've not found anything even close. So PUPLOVE if you would post a couple of the sites you've found I'd appreciate it.

Info from another board..........it is "trellis yarn", Lion brand. Made with a J hook and chain stitch, make the desired number of lengths of chain leaving 6-12" long tails at either end.
I'm going to get some of the yarn and play with it.

I know this yarn well made many scarfs with it added to other yarns and it looks like there may be more than one "strand" used may be even 4 and each strand going down so far and the start your chaining--like leave a yarn tail of say 10" then start the chain say chain for 10" then turn and ,turn maybe double crochet back down the chain turn and sc back to the end fasten off leave another 10" tail when you have several of these done twist together and tie or finish with some kind of calsp....good luck...Linda
