I have a Ruud Silhouette II Furnace. What kind of filter does it have have and how do I replace it? I believe it is set up as an updraft (intake is at the bottom, ducts from the top). Thanks for the help.

filters may either be placed in the bottom of the furnace unit or in the supply air ductwork near the furnace. what I'd do is look for any discontinuous side on the air duct first... it will probably be a filter door. if not there, open the door at the bottom of the furnace unit, where the fan is. the filter would typically be in the middle or near the top of that enclosure.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
