power supplies a three way switch for up stairs entry light switch, and downstairs Three way light Switch, also powers a on/off switch in garage that controls ceiling lights.
can I put in a new Smileon/off switch or another thee way switch inside the home to power the garage lights?
        thank you!

sounds like you are going to have to run another Romex for the garage, since you imply the garage lighting power comes off the 3-way circuit as part of its load. you need a supply from line, not load.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

I will put in a new 15 amp breaker and run a line for the garage lighting.
