How do I place pendent lights when my sink and window are not centered
because of my kitchen design, and my IKEA cabinets, my garden window and sink don't line up, which is fine but I am struggling with where to place the pendant light(s) above, and how many? any advise on this would be so great.

thank you, Suzanne

Sight unseen, I'd probably opt for something other than a pendant light over your sink. It will look odd being off center to either the window or the sink. I'd go for a recessed can.

If the space is big enough and you really want pendants maybe go for two or three pendants. Again this is all sight unseen. YMMV.

If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. Given the choice, I'd center the lights on the space available between the cabinets.

If its not to late rethink the cabinet layout. Filler strips are a godsent when dealing with kitchen cabinet issues. If too late for that work with whatever you like best. I too vote for centering on the cabinets, not the sink. Good luck.
