low voltage flexible track lighting
Hi, I have low-voltage lighting in my kitchen. Installed by a licensed electrician about 4 years ago. Today when I turned the light switch to the "on" position, the lights had about a 15 second delay before coming on. Then after they were on, they were very dim. Any ideas of what the problem may be? Thanks.

Most likely the transformer that converts 110v AC into low voltage DC is burning out. If so, you'll need to find the same output transformer and replace it.

Possibly you have a very poor connection at a junction in the low voltage wires somewhere, but I'd put my money on the transformer.

Thank you for your reply, Jaybee. I'll be on the lookout for a replacement.
