I am relocating a wall outlet and came up about 2' short on wire. Is it ok to have splices/ connections to get that extra wire? It's an older home built in 52.

        Thanks in advance as always...

You can do a splice but that splice must be contained within an electrical box. Then, you'll need to install a blank cover plate. It's not a big thing nor are the parts expensive but it will put an extra 'outlet' box on your wall.

Hate when that happens. Big Grin Nothing worse than following a person who leaves very little tail to work with.
