New Light Switch
I just put in a new ceiling fan. The day I put it in it worked just fine. I changed the outlet that I thought the power was coming from and the light switch stopped working. I checked the wiring at the switch and the outlet and everything is fine. I have power to all other outlet in the house and all switches work but I am not even getting power to the light switch anymore. I don't know why or what is going on. Can someone help me.

You'll have to start by telling us exactly what wires are in the switch box and in the receptacle box that you changed.
Obviously you changed a wire somewhere, but it impossible for us to tell unless we know exactly what wires are where.

another DIYer is learning the hard way that before you take a connection apart, you need to label where everything went. check to see if there are any silly changes, like the buss-tabs broken off on one or both sides of an outlet that carry power to the other side, even without wires. if there are any silly color changes, like white to black or red in a wire nut, label them.
finding out what was done when the wall was open decades after the wallboard went up ain't easy.
sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

There is three different sets coming into the outlet box. One coming from the circuit around the room with the hot wires, one coming from what I believe the other room and one going to what I thought was the switch. I put two the the sets together white on white with a pig tail and wired that one as well as the other one up. Looking at switch box I have one coming from the outlet, what I think, and one going to the ceiling fan.
I tried wiring the outlet up and checking the wires coming into the light and I don't get any electric.
