PAR16's are making me crazy. The last one lasted 3 days, and I have seven of them. They are my only regret in this kitchen design. Any alternatives that will fit the ceiling pot and throw enough light?

What brands were yours? I’ve had similar experiences before with LED PARs as well as A19s, especially those I’ve ordered offshore (Chinese made, I think). But perhaps the whole batch I ordered was just faulty because a friend of mine ordered the same thing and she did not have any problem so far (it’s been two months since).

Anyway, I finally just gritted my teeth and went for the more expensive LEDs. I have tried the ones made in the U.S. from www.ikea.com, www.cree.com, and www.illustralighting.com. So far I haven’t had any problems and the light quality and build is definitely better.
